David Graham is an internationally recognized photographer of the American cultural landscape. He brings compassion and humor to his work, capturing the colorful, sometimes surreal, and often bizarre people and symbols that express the unique character of American life.

Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, Graham received a BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and his MFA in Photography from the Tyler School of Art.  Graham studied under Ray Metzker and Will Larson, and was mentored by Emmet Gowin. He has taught at Moore College of Art and at The University of the Arts.

Graham has published ten books and his work has appeared in The New York Times, Harper’s, The New Yorker, and The Philadelphia Inquirer, among others. He has had numerous solo exhibitions including at the International Center of Photography in New York, the Institute for Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, and The Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art, and his work is in many museum collections including Princeton University Art Museum, Museum of Modern Art in New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Art Institute of Chicago and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
